Which physical editions should you compare?

The official game site distinguishes Deluxe and Limited editions. Both can be relevant to a physical collection, but they are not interchangeable labels for the same set of extras.

Village in the Shade (Deluxe Edition) (PS5/Switch/Switch 2) Unboxing · POPnGAMES

Third-party English-language unboxing of the PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 Deluxe Edition. It illustrates physical packaging; it is not a Limited Edition unboxing or a device-performance comparison.

The embedded POPnGAMES video unboxes Deluxe copies for Switch, Switch 2, and PS5. It provides a real look at those packages. It does not establish the contents of the larger Limited Edition.

How do the packages differ?

Package reference What it helps you check
Physical Deluxe artwork and unboxing Game case, mini art book, and digital soundtrack material
Official Limited Edition product listing Collector’s box and its larger set of physical extras
Exact platform box Console compatibility and physical-media labeling
Regional retailer checkout Stock, shipping, taxes, and final price

The checked US Limited Edition listing was $89.99 on October 28, 2026. That is not a universal price for every physical edition.

Is a Switch 2 Game-Key Card the same as a data cartridge?

Do not assume that it is. NIS America explicitly labels the Switch 2 Limited Edition option as Game-Key Card. Check download and storage requirements before choosing it for a collection intended to work without downloading the game data.

For another platform or retailer, read the actual media label. A similar cover does not prove identical format, regional languages, or bonus codes.

What should a collector keep in mind?

Match the edition name on the order confirmation with the one whose extras you want. Digital soundtrack material is different from physical soundtrack discs, and a mini book is different from a larger collector book.

Keep expectations about runtime performance separate from packaging. An unboxing can show the box and labels; it cannot establish frame rates, loading times, or save-transfer behavior.
